ProWrite File Convert converts files created with other Amiga word processors into ProWrite files (which are also compatible with QuickWrite), preserving as much of the document's content as possible. This means that you won't lose the document's headers, footers, paragraph margins, justification, and character styles when converting them to ProWrite format. These notes describe version 2.0 of Convert.
#To use Convert, follow these steps:
1. Double-click on the Convert program icon. In a few seconds you will see a window with a list of Amiga word processors and a button labeled "Convert".FSCC
2. Click on the name of the word processor that created the document or documents you wish to convert, then click on the "Convert" button (or simply double-click onthe name of the word processor). The "Open" requester will appear.TEXT
3. Select the file you wish to convert and click the "Open" button. The file will be loaded and converted into ProWrite format.
4. Once the file has been loaded and converted, the "Save" requester will be displayed. Enter a name and location for the new ProWrite file. If you wish to keep the original (un-converted) version of the file be sure to give the new file a different name.

Limitations of ConvertPARA
Convert supports most features of the above mentioned word processors, but not all. These notes describe the limitations and/or modifications that Convert makes when converting a file.FSCC
Because Final Copy uses a proprietary font system, multiple fonts are not supported in Final Copy. Multiple fonts are supported when converting excellence! and Pen Pal (the other word processors do not support multiple fonts).TEXT
Due to limitations in Pen Pal, if a converted Pen Pal document does not look right you may have to make some adjustments to the headers or footers of the converted document.
In WordPerfect, only the first page number that was inserted is converted.TEXT
Due to variations in how different programs create RTF files, when converting from RTF some files may have their margins and styles slightly different than the original document.TEXT
Although Convert tries to display and convert only the correct type of file for the conversion you have chosen, this is not always possible. Make sure you choose the correct conversion type before converting a file. If you do not, then the file may appear to convert properly when it actually hasn't.FSCC
]And finally remember, that only features currently implemented in ProWrite 3.2 are converted.
